Wow, I can't believe this thing is already over! It was quite fun :)

Day 15 - A picture that can always make you smile

Yep, those people up there. The one to the left, and the two to the right, of me awkwardly stretching my arms up to the sky :P - those three girls are three of the craziest, funniest, bestest friends I could ever ask for! :) They're pretty amazing. Actually...they're pretty and amazing. Haha :) Sooo...yeah! This picture makes me smile! And it captures each of our personalities quite nicely, I might add. :)

Day 14 - A picture of yourself and a family member

This is a picture of me and my sister, Abbie. She is a crazy, one-of-a-kind, left handed, green-eyed, red head! (She recently made it known to us that she is "very rare" since red is the least common hair color, green is the least common eye color, the left hand is the least common dominant hand.....and she has all three! haha) And I love her :)

Day 13 - A picture of your day

A picture of my day...well, unless I'm going to take a picture of sleeping late, eating waffles, doing math and science, taking the ITBS, eating lunch, going walking, cooking supper, going to my grandparents, going running, working in the garden, and listening to music...then I suppose I'll just have to pick one thing :)

Today I was in the mood to cook...so I decided to make a dessert! My mom suggested that I make this wonderful chocolatey cake/brownie/wonderfulness stuff (as I call it...it's technically called texas sheet cake..but I like my name better hehe) Anyways! To begin with I had to make my mom a pinterest account (which was an adventure in itself) so I could find the recipe since one of her friends had pinned it on their pinboard (I think that's what it's called..haha). So I finally found the recipe and started concocting the wonderful chocolatey cake/brownie/wonderfulness stuff :D

The stuff looked amazing...and smelled even more amazing. I forgot to take a picture of it when it was in the pan, though! :P Soo...you get the next best thing. A picture of me holding a plate with a piece of it. And, you even get to hear a funny story! Yep. So, I was in the kitchen taking a picture of myself holding the plate with a piece of cake on it...and apparently my mom walked by the window (she was outside) and saw me doing it. Later she came in and asked whyyy I was taking a picture with the cake? "Maybe I should let you make cake more often if it makes you that happy..." she said. Haha :) I explained...and we laughed. And it twas' funny :)

So there you have it! A picture of my day :)

Day 12 - A picture of your favorite book

I've read lots of books. Fiction, non-fiction, biographies, adventure stories, mysteries, romance novels, the list goes on and on. All those books were great, but looking back I don't really have a favorite novel. But there is one remarkable book that really is my favorite. And that book is the Bible.

God's love letter to us. From Genesis to Revelations, that amazing book is filled with so many valuable stories, thoughts, and lessons. It is the only book that we can learn something new from every time we pick it up. It never gets old!

Day 11 - A picture of something you wish you were better at

That's an easy one. Guitar.

I took guitar lessons a few years ago but decided to quit and just stick with playing piano. Piano is great, and I'm super glad I stuck with it! But I wish I had stuck with guitar too. I already know the basics and can play some stuff...so hopefuly I'll eventually get back into it :)

Day 10 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel

I haven't traveled much...I've never been on a plane, never left the United States, and only set foot in 9 states. And I'm perfectly content with that...for now at least. I've never been a huge fan of traveling - now, don't get me wrong, I love vacations to the beach or camping or things like that - but I've never had much of a desire to go far from my home state of Georgia...much less out of the country. But if I were to travel somewhere, I think I would go to Hawaii.

Yep, there's just something about Hawaii...the soft sand, towering palm trees, clear water, blue skies, and warm weather that make it seem so inviting! I mean, come on, who can look at that picture and not want to go there?! :)

Day 9 - A picture of someone who inspires you

Someone who inspires me. That's an easy one. I am inspired by my parents.

They have taught me so much...been there for me through so many things...and are a constant example of the kind of person that I want to be.

Day 8 - A picture of something you want to do before you die

Well, there are quite a lot of things I'd like to do before I die...but there is one thing that I would really really like to do.

Go on a mission trip.

Over the past several months our church has done backyard bible clubs each Wednesday night. I've had the opportunity to help with bible clubs, and it has been such an amazing experience. I've seen how much joy can come from being around those kids...their sweet smiles, long hugs, desire to listen and learn, and cheerful attitudes are such a blessing.

I would like to go on a mission trip overseas, but God's plan might be for me to do something right here in my own country. I don't know yet, but I do know that I want to do something. :)

I could not imagine my life without these people...my family.

 

I've had countless laughs, smiles, tears, and adventures with them. I am so blessed to have a loving, Christian family that is always there for me no matter what. And I definitely cannot imagine my life without each of them.

Day 6 - A picture of your favorite band or artist

As you probably know by now from all my talk about music in my posts on here...I really like music! There are so many great songs, artists, and bands out there...and my favorite always seems to be changing...haha...but right now it is.....

1. Her music makes me get that warm fuzzy wonderful feeling when I listen to it :D
2. Her name is fun to say.
3. She has a contagious smile!
4. Her songs happen to be some of the only songs my friends and I could all sing (seeing as we have very different voice ranges) haha...so...yay for Francesca Battistelli's music!

Picture Challenge! - Day 5

Day 5 - A picture of something you really like

Well, I "really like" a lot of things. I really like ice cream...and swimming...and warm weather...and being with my friends...and spending time with my family...and wearing flip flops and shorts and tshirts...and lemonade...and going on vacation...and cookouts...and not having to do school...and going shopping...and a whole lot of other things!...but, since I couldn't exactly post a picture of all those things...I am posting a picture of SUMMER! Yep, summer is definitely something I really like! According to my friend, who's amazingly amazing blog can be looked at here, I've been itching for summer to get here ever since last fall...and that's probably true :) haha....and now, it's 3 days away! YAY. :D

Well...this is a no-brainer. Amongst my friends and family I am well known for one thing that I really really reallyyy don't like.

Yep, I absolutely positively do not like milk. I love ice cream and other things with milk in them....but milk by itself...eh, not so much.
